Symptoms of throat angioma
Small sizes (up to 1 cm):
- Foreign body sensation
- Soreness

Large formations (>2 cm):

- Hemoptysis (if hemangioma is injured)
Dangerous complications:

- MRI of soft tissues of the neck – for differentiation from malignant processes

Classification and stages of throat angioma
By type of vascular lesion:
- Capillary (small vessels, superficial)
- Cavernous (large cavities, deep)
- Venous (dilated veins)
By localization:
- Vocal cords
- Epiglottis
- Subglottic space
- Throat
According to the clinical course:
- Asymptomatic (random find)
- Symptomatic (hoarseness, dysphagia, bleeding)
Stages of throat angioma
(Benign lesions do not have classical stages, but are graded by size and effect on function)
- Small (<1 cm) – asymptomatic
- Average (1–3 cm) – moderate symptoms
- Large (>3 cm) – risk of respiratory obstruction/bleeding
Note:
- Angiomas do not become malignant, but require control during growth.
- Main methods of treatment: laser coagulation, cryodestruction, sclerotherapy.

- Radio wave ablation – bloodless removal
