CYBERKNIFE
CYBERKNIFE – radiosurgical treatment method of malignant and benign tumors.

The therapeutic capabilities of this innovative technology significantly outperform all currently known methods. CYBERKNIFE-radiosurgery can be used in certain cases as an alternative to the traditional multi-week radiation therapy or as an addition to the conventional surgical procedures
- Very lightweight and compact device with high accuracy of exposure is fixed on the arm of a special robot. Any part of the body is achieved purposefully, and the affected tissue is removed safely without the use of a scalpel. CYBERKNIFE is much more flexible in practical use system than all hitherto used in this field of technology.
- Using a computer CYBERKNIFE system controls the localization of the tumor, and can automatically compensate for the movement of patients during the treatment session.
Range of treatment
CYBERKNIFE system is focused on the treatment of vascular and tumor lesions of the brain, spinal cord, spine, lung, pancreas, prostate, neck and throat, stomach and colon cancer, breast cancer as well as for the radiation therapy for chronic inflammation, benign diseases.
The process of treatment in the CyberKnife clinic
The therapy does not require any special preparation. On this day, the patient can have breakfast and does not interrupt the reception of previously prescribed medications.
This treatment method eliminates:
- surgery
- pain
- need a special fixation of the skull
- general anesthesia
- hospital stay
- following rehabilitation
Accuracy – control – painlessness
Tumors of the brain and spinal cord are treated by a computer-controlled robot directed in real time according to a high-precision image of the lesion. This is the first CYBERKNIFE unit in Germany used in a joint project to improve methods of cancer treatment, such as brain lesions. What is new is the expansion of the spectrum of therapeutic effects on malignant and benign tumors of the spinal cord and spinal column. As well as the liver and lungs, if there are no more than three tumor localizations in the same organ and localization size up to 10 cm.
Duration of the treatment session is from 30 to 90 min., 1 to 5 sessions.
Control examination – after approximately 6 months.
