Robot-assisted surgery using the Da Vinci-X® operating system is used in Hospital of the Virgin Mary (Marienhospital) in Düsseldorf since 2018. During this time, the hospital carried out more than 1,500 operations using the da Vinci robot, which confirms the high level of professionalism and experience of medical personnel in the use of this advanced technology.
The robotic system provides high-resolution images in three-dimensional format, and also allows the surgeon to control manipulations using a convenient control panel. During surgery the surgeon controls the movements of the Da Vinci robot’s armswhile in an ergonomic position at the console. The operating system does not perform independent actions, but only assists the surgeon, which guarantees complete control by the doctor and absolute safety of the patient.
