Information about the doctor

Leading Specialist in Vascular Surgery Prof. Dr. med. Ralf Kolvenbach is Medical Director of the Ambulatory Vascular Therapy Center Duesseldorf.

Modern Methods in Vascular Surgery and Phlebology

Minimally Invasive Treatment of Aortic Aneurysm — a dangerous enlargement of the body’s main artery.
Procedures are performed using stenting techniques both in the abdominal and thoracic regions, allowing patients to avoid open surgery.

Carotid Artery Surgery for stroke prevention.
In many cases, stents can replace open operations, reducing risks and shortening recovery time.

Treatment of Peripheral Arterial Diseases, including so-called “window-shopping disease”, and prevention of limb amputation in cases of critical blood flow impairment.

Comprehensive Venous Therapy (superficial and deep) is provided by certified vascular surgeons and phlebologists. The range of treatments includes:
– management of deep vein thrombosis,
– treatment of pulmonary embolism,
– outpatient therapy for varicose veins and trophic (open-leg) ulcers.
