Clinic in Benrath was opened in 1961 as part of the urban clinics Duesseldorf with three departments for 400 beds. The clinic has a wide range of specializations.

Surgical Department of clinic in Gerresheim includes the General and Visceral surgery, Thoracic surgery and Accident surgery. The main focus of visceral surgery is the treatment of benign and malignant intestinal diseases. The department has certified gastroenterology center. The preferred operating method is minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery, which can be used for all routine benign operations.
