Treatment of breast adenocarcinoma in Germany

Innovations in the treatment of breast adenocarcinoma: from immunohistochemical profiling to personalized targeted therapy

Breast adenocarcinoma is the most common form of breast cancer and develops from glandular cells. RheinRegio Klinik Zentrum uses personalized treatment protocols, including targeted therapy, immunotherapy and organ-conserving surgery, which allows achieving high success rates with minimal impact on healthy tissue.

Symptoms of adenocarcinoma of the mammary glands

The early stages are often asymptomatic. As it develops, the following appear:

  • Lump in the chest (usually in the upper outer quadrant)
  • Change in breast shape or size
  • Retraction of the nipple or skin (“lemon peel”)
  • Nipple discharge (especially bloody)
  • Enlarged axillary lymph nodes
  • Redness or ulceration of the skin in later stages

If these signs are detected, you should immediately undergo an examination.

Diagnosis of mammary adenocarcinoma at RheinRegio Klinik Zentrum

We conduct a comprehensive examination:

  • Mammography with digital tomosynthesis
  • Ultrasound of the mammary glands with elastography
  • Breast MRI with contrast
  • Biopsy with immunohistochemical study
  • Genetic testing (BRCA, HER2, hormone receptors)
  • PET-CT to detect metastases

Our breast oncologists use the latest diagnostic algorithms to accurately determine tumor characteristics.

Each direction is supervised by advanced oncologists.
