Symptoms of adenocarcinoma of the mammary glands
The early stages are often asymptomatic. As it develops, the following appear:

- Change in breast shape or size
- Retraction of the nipple or skin (“lemon peel”)
- Nipple discharge (especially bloody)
- Enlarged axillary lymph nodes
- Redness or ulceration of the skin in later stages

Classification and stages of mammary adenocarcinoma
Main histological types:
- Ductal (80% of cases) – develops from the milk ducts
- Lobular (10-15%) – occurs in the lobules of the gland
- Medullary – less aggressive form
- Mucinous – contains a mucous component
TNM staging:
- Stage 0 (in situ) – non-invasive form
- Stages I-II – local tumor
- Stage III – damage to regional lymph nodes
- Stage IV – distant metastases
